In 1946 a new DC 'Funny Animal' title hit the newsstands alongside Funny Stuff and Real Screen Comics. Animal Antics comic books starred Presto Pete, a magician's rabbit who performed his own tricks with disastrous results. Other characters getting tryouts were; Walrus Whopper, and Sheriff Corky. Otto Feuer's Raccoon Kids proved so well liked that they became the lead feature with issue# 6. The comic was renamed Raccoon Kids in 1954.
