    Boots & Saddles comic books were based on the syndicated television series which aired from 1957 to 1958. Set at the 19th century in the Arizona Territory, near Tucson, the series starred Jack Pickard as Captain Shank Adams, Patrick McVey as Lieutenant Colonel Wesley Hayes, and Gardner McKay as Lieutenant Dan Kelly.

Issue #1 is also called Four Color Comics #919. Issue #2 is also called Four Color Comics #1029. Issue #3 is also called Four Color Comics #1116.
