The Great Locomotive Chase was a 1956 Walt Disney movie based on the real Great Locomotive Chase of 1862 during the American Civil War. The film starredFess Parker as James J. Andrews, the leader of a group of Union soldiers who went behind Confederate lines in civilian clothes, stole a Confederate and drove it back to Union lines in Tennessee, tearing up railroad tracks and destroying bridges and telegraph lines along the way.
The comic is also known as Four Color Comics #712.
