For mature readers only. After spending months in the wasteland, Jaeger decides to visit Anvard and check up on Emma Grosvenor and her children. He gets in a scuffle with a Free Market warden for claiming to be a free trader but not looking "indian enough", visits Laveau's Bookstore to sell some artifacts he dug up in the wastes, and later bumps into the warden again in the Little Godsfeast Tavern. A full-fledged brawl breaks out, resulting in the warden, Jaeger and two other men flying out of a sixth-floor window. Kalif, a pirate TV cameraman, drags the half-dead Jaeger to Emma's apartment.
