In the near future, a terrible disease (AIDS?) would sweep across America, threatening to make plagues like the Black Death seem minor by comparison. Luckily, a researcher discovered a serum based on “energized blood.” In addition to curing the disease, the serum gave some of its recipients superhuman abilities. The government learned of this rather interesting side-effect and began looking for such people, intending to assemble a strike force comprised of superhumans. Of the hundreds they screened, six went on to become members of their new “Stealth Squad.”
