The Metal Men were advanced intelligent robots, created by scientist Dr. "Will" Magnus. Their intelligence and personalities mirror characteristics associated with their namesake metals. The team includes Gold, strong man Iron, slow-witted Lead, self-doubting and insecure Tin, hot-headed Mercury (the only metal liquid at room temperature), and Platinum, or Tina, who thought she was a real woman and was in love with her creator.
