In a world of big guns and big wars, the Star Slammers are a race that can kill, fight, and shoot better than anyone. The Slammers are mercenaries, paid vast sums and considered unstoppable. But one day the unthinkable happened. While running a strike-and-sweep operation against a “backwater galactic empire,” a Slammer named Rojas was captured. He was the first Star Slammer ever taken alive, a feather in the empire’s cap. As this series begins, they’ve immobilized Rojas and are carrying him back to homeworld aboard a starship filled with soldiers. In other words, Rojas’ odds are just about even.
