hey are called “Strontium Dogs”: a whole race of people who have been mutated since birth by exposure to strontium-90. They face terrible discrimination throughout the galaxy, and, as a result, are allowed to work at only the very worst jobs. In their case, that meant becoming bounty hunters.
Johnny Alpha is the star of this series and a bounty hunter beyond compare. His particular mutation serves him well in his career, as his glowing eyes are able to see through solid objects. This ability comes in very handy for planning and avoiding ambushes. He’s accompanied on his missions by his steadfast friend, Wulf Sternhammer, a latter-day Viking and able warrior. Together, they lead a life of danger and adventure—even if the rest of the world thinks of their kind only as Strontium Dogs.
